DAY 1

Arrival in Hanoi

On arrival in Hanoi, our guide will meet and greet you and take you on a 35-minute drive to the city center.

Afternoon begin a city tour visiting Ba Dinh Square, the site of major cultural and political events, then visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex, including the Mausoleum, his house-on-stilts, fishpond, and the One-Pillar Pagoda. Next, explore the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, offering a serene look into the country’s past.

Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Hanoi.

DAY 2

Halong Bay overnight cruise

After breakfast at the hotel, 08:00AM we drive to Halong, one of the earliest World Heritages Sited designated by UNESCO for Vietnam in 1994. Check-in our boat and enjoy a lunch of fresh seafood while the boat goes about an unusual seascape with thousands picturesque rocks and islets, beaches and hollow islands. We can stop to visit some karst grottoes or just go swimming or stop at a beach and enjoy the sunset on the sea. (Lunch and dinner on board). Overnight on the boat in Halong Bay.

The cruise includes sights like Dinh Huong, Ga Choi, Dog, and Sail Islands, a visit to Sung Sot Cave, and a swim at Titov Beach. Overnight on board in Halong Bay.

DAY 3

Back in Hanoi & Flying to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)

Start your day with a Tai Chi session on the sundeck at dawn. Enjoy tea and coffee onboard while exploring Ha Long Bay’s 2,000 islets. Check out at 10:30 and have brunch while cruising back to shore. Disembark at 12:00 for a transfer to Noi Bai airport for your flight to Saigon.

Once in Saigon your guide will meet and transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay.

DAY 4

Exploring the Cu Chi Tunnels & City Life

Breakfast at hotel. Pick-up at 08:00hrs. and drive to Cu Chi and visit the amazing complex of underground tunnels. There are more than 200 km of underground tunnels, comprising a main axis system with many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters, and other tunnels. Experience crawling through the enlarged tunnels, and exploring areas like the kitchen, living quarters, and meeting rooms. Learn about the guerrilla warfare tactics and visit the weapons room.

Return to Saigon with a stop at a local restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a city tour including the Reunification Hall, War Remnants Museum, Old Post Office, Chinatown, and Ben Thanh Market. Overnight in Saigon.

DAY 5

Visit Mekong Delta - My Tho & Ben Tre

After breakfast your tour guide will pick you up and drive to My Tho in the Mekong Delta, a 2-hour journey from Saigon. Visit the Vinh Trang pagoda, a notable Buddhist site known for its unique blend of Eastern and Western architecture.

Next, head to the pier for a 3-hour boating trip through the Mekong Delta. Cruise along canals, see the four famous islands—Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle, and Phoenix—and pass floating fish houses. Visit Thoi Son island to explore a fruit orchard, taste seasonal fruits, enjoy traditional folk songs, and browse local handicraft shops. Experience a sampan ride through palm-shaded creeks.

Lunch at a Mekong Rest Stop Restaurant before returning to Saigon for overnight in Saigon.

DAY 6

Goodbye Vietnam

Breakfast at hotel. Free at your own activities then transfer to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for your onward flight back to Colombo.
